    This place is a great choice if you are looking for something delicious,  filling and flavorful to eat. I had the vegan crispy cauliflower wrap. I not have guessed the fries and pickles would taste so good together. YUM!

    I wanted to love this place, it was kinda Meh. I've had way better.

    They don't have traditional things like hummus, babaghanoush, or tabuli.

    Small cart, good service, average at best food. It is what it is. Skip it!

    The Pleasant Peasant at the new Hawthorne Asylum pod. Were do I begin.. Simply AMAZING!!!!!
    Love all the options they have. Their bread salad is extremely satisfying with all the fresh veggies on a warm day, and then there's their Royal Peasant bowl that is full with everything your heart and soul would desire from the cauliflower to the veggies, the pickles, the sauce and the best part is that you can add to it anything from the menu as if it's possible to make it better than it already is.  Let alone that my toddler loves all their food!!! Will definitely be there as much as I possibly can!!!

    I'm so happy to have found the Pleasant Peasant at Hawthorne Asylum! Lebanese food is probably my favorite type of cuisine, and I have been searching for years for a proper fattoush salad like I used to get when I lived in London. I've been to Mediterranean Exploration Company, Shalom Y'all, Al Hawr, Riyadh (read my review about that experience before you go!), etc., and let me tell you, this one is the real deal! The fattoush is simple and delicious, the way it's supposed to be, flavored with plenty of parsley and mint, tossed lightly with a perfect sumac dressing and topped with crispy pita chips.  Also, if you like eggplant even a little, please try the eggplant and yogurt bowl with fried almonds and cranberries. It's outstanding! I can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu. But I can promise you that the fattoush salad will become a staple of my diet. Thx Pleasant Peasant. See you soon!
